PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst is a three-day, associate level course designed for data professionals and business intelligence professionals seeking to use Power BI to execute effective data analysis. This course is also suitable for individuals who create reports that visualize data from data platform technologies, both on-premises and in the cloud.
 
During this course, you will learn how to use the Power BI service. You will build competency in identifying and retrieving data from different data sources. You will use Microsoft Dataverse to connect to a data flow using Power BI Desktop. You will develop skills in loading data, applying data shape transformations, designing, and developing data models for proper performance and scalability. You will be introduced to the world of DAX, and learn about aggregations and real-time dashboards using Time Intelligence functions. Plus, you will discover how to optimize the data and storage model for enterprise-level performance.
 
Additionally, you will learn how to create reports, identify trends, forecast values, and use advanced analytics for custom visuals. You will explore how to create and manage a workspace, and how to distribute an App. You will build dynamic reports with parameters, schedule a dataset refresh, and troubleshoot gateway service connectivity. Plus, you will come to understand the concept and implementation of row-level security using both static and dynamic methods.
 
Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification exam to gain Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification. Entry for the exam is not included.
