MB-310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is a four-day, intermediate level course focusing on how to configure and use basic components of financial management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, budgeting, and additional functionality. To get the most out of this course, you must have basic accounting skills and core competencies in Dynamics 365 Core Finance and Operations (see MB-300).
During this course, you will build your understanding of the features, capabilities, components, and benefits of D365 Finance. Through hands-on lab exercises, you will learn how to create a new legal entity (company) and set up and configure financial management for it. This will include creating a vendor/customer/general ledger, configuring a financial report and tax ledger, and applying an accrual scheme. Plus, you will learn how to use features such as prepayments, and how to configure payment information, bank information, and payment schedules.
Additionally, you will explore the overall features and functionality related to expense management, payment methods, accounts receivable charges, and revenue recognition. You will learn how to plan a budget and define/configure/ manage budgeting processes, and work with budgeting components, budget controls, and workflows. Plus, you will discover how to configure and manage fixed assets and handle their acquisition, depreciation, and disposal.
Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the MB-310 certification exam. To become a Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant you must also take the MB-300 exam. Entry for the exams is not included. However, you will get tips and tricks, testing strategies, practice questions, and helpful information to help you pass the exams successfully.
This course comprises 8 purposely designed modules that take you on a carefully defined learning journey.
It is an instructor-led course which runs to a fixed schedule, with set start and finish dates. It is driven forward by your instructor and features live sessions that are aired at a set time. You will, however, have time to complete certain activities at your own pace outside of the live sessions.
