AzureDP-203, is a four-day Data Engineering on Azure course designed for data professionals who want to learn about analytical solutions using Azure data platform technologies.

In this course, you will learn about data engineering with respect to the core compute and storage technologies that are used to build an analytical solution. You will learn how to run interactive queries using serverless SQL pools in Azure Synapse Analytics, and how to perform data exploration and transformation in Azure Databricks and Apache Spark. You will be introduced to the best practices used for data loading in Azure Synapse Analytics. Plus, you will learn about performing petabyte-scale ingestion, working on code-free transformation, and data integration with Azure Data Factory.

You will also explore how to use Azure Synapse Analytics to orchestrate data movement, provide end-to-end security, and design Hybrid Transactional and Analytical Processing (HTAP). You will build your understanding of how to enable and configure Synapse link, and how to query the Azure Cosmos DB analytical store using Apache Spark and SQL serverless. And you will become familiar with how to use Event Hubs and Azure Databricks to create a stream processing solution.

Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the DP-203 certification exam -Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate. Entry for the exam is not included. However, you will get a clear overview of the Microsoft certification process, plus you will get lessons, tips, and useful information.

This course comprises eleven purposely designed modules that take you on a carefully defined learning journey.

It is an instructor-led course which runs to a fixed schedule, with set start and finish dates. It is driven forward by your instructor and features live sessions that are aired at a set time. You will, however, have time to complete certain activities at your own pace outside of the live sessions.

The materials for each module are accessible from the start of the course and will remain available for the duration of your enrollment. Methods of learning and assessment will include reading material, hands-on labs, and online exam questions.

As part of our mentoring service you will have access to valuable guidance and support throughout the course. We provide a dedicated discussion space where you can ask questions, chat with your peers, and resolve issues.

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will earn your Certificate of Completion.

You will be able to:

  • Design and implement data storage.
  • Design and develop data processing.
  • Design and implement data security.
  • Monitor and optimize data storage and data processing.

  • Data engineers.
  • Data architects.
  • Business intelligence professionals.
  • Data analysts and data scientists who work with analytical solutions built on Microsoft Azure will also find this useful.
  • Professionals who are looking to clear their DP-203 certification exam.

You should have these certifications before starting the course:

  • AZ-900 - Azure Fundamentals
  • DP-900 - Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
  • Data Processing Experience: A general understanding of data storage and data processing is recommended but not required.

This course will help you to prepare for the DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure exam.

It is ideal for individuals who want to understand the core compute and storage technologies that are used to build an analytical solution.

  • You will explore integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured and unstructured data systems into a structure that is suitable for building analytics solutions.
  • You will learn how to ensure that data pipelines and data stores are high-performing, efficient, organized, and reliable, given a set of business requirements and constraints.
  • You will explore Azure Databricks, Data Warehouse, Apache Spark, Azure Synapse, and Stream Analytics.

When you take this course, you will also get information and guidance on the Microsoft certification process, knowledge checks and practice questions, and useful tips on how to pass the exam.
