This course is designed to help you understand the fundamental concepts evaluated in the Certified Blockchain Security Professional (CBSP) exam.
In this course, you will explore the core elements and benefits of blockchain technology, focusing on fundamental cryptographic principles like hash functions and digital signatures using public key cryptography. You will also delve into the assumptions and challenges in blockchain security, including the vulnerabilities associated with losing private keys and different types of wallets.
As you progress through the course, you will learn strategies to counter common threats and examine the security challenges associated with achieving consensus. You will explore popular consensus algorithms such as Proof of Work and Proof of Stake, and gain insight into alternative consensus methods. You will get a good overview of blockchain security and smart contracts. You will learn about user safety, node and network safety, and the security aspects of smart contracts, including the process of auditing them. Plus, you will explore factors influencing blockchain risk appraisal.
Overall, this course is ideal for those preparing for the CBSP examination. It is designed for individuals interested in blockchain security, and provides hands-on practice through an end-term peer review assignment that incorporates the key concepts of the entire course.
NOTE: We provide two additional courses for the preparation of Certified Blockchain Security Professional (CBSP) exam. CBSP Part 2: Advanced Blockchain Security CBSP Part 3: Mechanisms and Blockchain Business Implementation and Security. These courses are designed to provide you with a thorough understanding of the associated content covered in the CBSP exam. We recommend completing these courses in sequence to fully understand the material.
This course comprises four modules that take you on a carefully defined learning path. It is a self-paced course, which means it is not run on a fixed schedule with regard to completing modules or submitting assignments. To give you an idea of how long the course takes to complete, it is anticipated that if you work 1-2 hours per week, you will complete the course in 4 weeks. However, as long as the course is completed before the end date, you can work at your own pace.
The materials for each module will become available when you start the particular module. Methods of learning and assessment will include videos, reading material, and a graded assignment.
Once you have successfully completed the course, you will earn your Certificate of Completion.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
