Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a highly popular business platform for cloud computing. During the course, you will be introduced to AWS and gain an overview of AWS services and infrastructure. You will explore AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and build a full appreciation of AWS policies. You will explore Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), including instance types, security groups, elastic IP, EFS (Elastic File System), and EBS (Elastic Block Storage). You will look at the AWS Relational Database Service (RDS), multi-AZ deployment, Amazon Aurora, and database security. You will learn about AWS monitoring and audit capabilities, including AWS CloudWatch, EventBridge, and CloudTrail. Plus, you will build a good understanding of AWS security, including encryption 101, AWS Key Management Services (KMS), S3 replication with encryption, and AWS Shield.

Overall, this comprehensive AWS course will prepare you for taking the AWS Solutions Architect certification exam to become an AWS certified solutions architect. Entry for the exam is not included. However, you will get a clear overview of the AWS certification process, and you will benefit from tips and tricks, testing strategies, practice questions, and useful information to help you pass the exam to become an AWS certified solutions architect.

This course comprises 21 purposely designed modules that take you on a carefully defined learning journey.

The course includes instructor-led sessions which run to a fixed schedule, with set start and finish dates. You will, however, have time to complete certain activities at your own pace outside of the live sessions too.

The materials for each module are accessible from the start of the course and will remain available for the duration of your enrollment. Methods of learning and assessment will include reading material, hands-on labs and online exams questions.
