During this course you will be introduced to the basics of storytelling. You will learn how to select the right data and create a story with that data. You will learn about the rules of good presentations and how to create good data visualizations. And you will look beyond your bullet points to create a compelling online presentation.
Additionally, you will explore what persuades people and consider the presence, logic, and emotions in persuasion. Plus, you will also learn how to recover from a bad presentation.
Overall, in this course you will learn how to develop and build powerful stories based on data, known as “Data Storytelling.” The course will teach data science techniques to harvest, target, and scope your data. You will learn how to create robust narratives from your data sources using storytelling techniques that are easy to learn and deploy.
This career-changing course comprises four purposely designed modules that take you on a carefully defined development path.
It is an instructor-led program which runs to a fixed schedule, with set start and finish dates. It is driven forward by your instructor and features eight hours of instructor-led workshops through Microsoft Teams. You will, however, have time to complete an additional four hours of homework assignments in your own time outside of the live sessions.
As part of our mentoring service you will have access to valuable guidance and support throughout the course. We provide a dedicated discussion space where you can ask questions, chat with your peers, and resolve issues.Once you have successfully completed the course, you will earn your IBM Certificate.
