PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer is a four-day, intermediate-level course for developers. It is targeted at professionals with a keen interest in designing, developing, and deploying automated solutions for organizations. To benefit most from this course, you need to have experience of JSON, cloud flows, and Azure services. You should also know how to integrate solutions with REST and SOAP services, analyze data using Microsoft Excel, VBScript, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and use HTML, JavaScript. Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform and one or more programming languages is also required.
During this course, you will develop your understanding of Power Automate and flow development essentials, and how to create automated steps. You will build skills to automate processes with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Power Automate for desktops. You will work with options, flows, recording features, conditions, loops, variables, images, error and exception handling, and learn to manipulate Excel documents to provide an end-to-end solution. Plus, you will learn how to automate email handling, user interfaces, system services, and how to implement advanced logic in Power Automate for desktop.
You will learn how to work with Power Automate, OCR technologies, and scripting, and how to build custom connectors for Power Automate. Plus, you will look at how Power Platform contributes to the creation of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, Power Automate Admin experiences, and the Microsoft Power Platform Center of Excellence (COE) toolkit.
Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer exam to gain Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate certification. Entry for the exam is not included. However, you will get a clear overview of the Microsoft certification process, plus you will get the tips and tricks, testing strategies, practice questions and useful information to help you pass the exam successfully.
