MS-500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration is a four-day associate-level course for professionals looking to take on the role of a Microsoft security administrator in a Microsoft 365 (M365) environment.

In this course, you will learn how to secure your Microsoft 365 deployment and comply with industry data protections. You will also learn how to secure user identity and access, and you will come to understand user password protection and multi-factor authentication.

Through hands-on labs, you will discover how to enable Azure Identity Protection and how to set up and use Azure AD Connect. You will explore conditional access in Microsoft 365. You will be introduced to under-threat protection technologies, and you will learn about threat vectors and Microsoft's security solutions to mitigate threats. You will then be introduced to Secure Score, Exchange Online Protection, Azure Advanced Threat Protection, Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, and threat management.

During the course you will also become familiar with information protection, information rights managed content, message encryption, and data loss prevention in M365 as well as data governance. Plus, you will become well versed in data retention policies and tags, in-place records management for SharePoint, email retention, and how to conduct content searches that support eDiscovery investigations.
