DP-080: Querying Data with Microsoft Transact-SQL is a two-day course focusing on how to use Transact-SQL (T-SQL). You will learn how to query and modify the data in relational databases hosted in Microsoft SQL Server-based database systems, including Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
During this DP-080 course, you will be introduced to the basics of T-SQL, relational databases, datatypes, and NULL values. You will explore how to write queries, perform sort and filter operations, and remove duplicate data in the results. You will practice how to access data from multiple tables using JOIN operations and also how to join a table to itself with a self-join. Plus, you will build your knowledge of how to use SELECT statements and develop your understanding the difference between scalar and multi-valued subqueries, and correlated and self-contained subqueries.Additionally, you will discover how to use built-in functions including math, string and system functions. You will learn how to insert, modify, and delete data from the tables. Plus, you will practice using other statements such as ORDER BY, WHERE, HAVING, DISTINCT, IDENTITY, SEQUENCE and more.
Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the DP-080: Querying Data with Microsoft Transact-SQL certification exam. Entry for the exam is not included. However, you will get a clear overview of the Microsoft certification process, plus you will get tips and tricks, testing strategies, practice questions, and useful information to help you pass the exam successfully.
As part of our mentoring service you will have access to valuable guidance and support throughout the course. We provide a dedicated discussion space where you can ask questions, chat with your peers, and resolve issues.
Once you have successfully completed the course, you will earn your Certificate of Completion.
This course will help you to prepare for the DP-080: Querying Data with Microsoft Transact-SQL.
During the couse you will learn the basics of Microsoft's dialect of the standard SQL language, Transact-SQL. Topics covered include both querying and modifying data in relational databases that are hosted in Microsoft SQL Server-based database systems. In learning about these aspects you will also explore Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and, Azure Synapse Analytics.

Microsoft DP-080: Querying Data with Microsoft Transact-SQL Training enables learners to explore the extension of Microsofts SQL language known as Transact-SQL. With interactive lectures and hands-onlabs,you get the opportunity to learn querying and modifying data in relational databases within Microsoft SQL Server-based database systems, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics. This training is suitable for SQL Server database administrators, system engineers, and developers.
In general, this course is of great value to anyone who aspires to learn basic SQL or Transact-SQL queries. This includes anyone working with data, such as data analysts, data engineers, data scientists, database administrators, or database developers. However, it is also useful to those dont manage data every day but who wish to build their data management skills, such as students, solution architects, and technology managers.
After completing this training, you will have a good grasp of basic Transact-SQL skills. During the course, you will work on hands-on labs using SQL Server query tools and Write SELECT statements to retrieve columns from tables. You will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and gain from the online sessions to sort and filter selected data and use built-in functions to returned data values. Additionally, you will discover how to create groups of data and aggregate the results and modify data with Transact-SQL using INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, and MERGE statements.
This DP-080 course explores how to use Transact-SQL to program the database. It therefore has some prerequisites. Learners must have some basic knowledge of relational databases and a couple of years of hands-on experience working with databases.
Yes, DP-080 is a mentored course. As part of SkillUp Onlines mentoring service, you will have access to valuable guidance and support throughout the course. We provide a dedicated discussion space where you can ask questions, chat with your peers, and resolve issues. Plus, you will have the opportunity to discuss problems and ask questions in one-to-one sessions with your mentor.
