AZ-801: Configuring Windows Server Hybrid Advanced Services is a four-day associate level course for server administrators. This course is also recommended for Windows Server hybrid administrators who have experience working with Windows Server and want to extend the capabilities of their on-premises environments by combining on-premises and hybrid technologies.
You will learn how to configure advanced Windows Server services using on-premises, hybrid, and cloud technologies.Plus, you will discover how to perform tasks related to high availability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.
During this course, you will explore how to configure security in Windows Server through Windows Defender Credential Guard, LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution), and Azure Security Center. You will build skills for diagnosing network security issues in Windows Server IaaS VMs and for working on Azure Automation Update Management. You will develop your understanding of implementing highly available storage volumes by using Clustered Share Volumes and highly available Windows Server workloads using failover clustering. Plus, you will learn how to implement Azure Disk Encryption, Azure Site Recovery, Hyper-V Replica and Windows Server Backup, Azure-based recovery services, Recovery Services Vault, and Azure Backup policies.
You will also build skills using Azure Migrate for assessment, discovery, and migration of Hyper-V VMs and workloads. You will discover how to migrate file servers using the Storage Migration Service and a containerized application to Azure App Service. You will learn how to monitor and troubleshoot IaaS VMs running Windows Server, how to audit Windows Server events, and how to troubleshoot AD DS replication and hybrid authentication issues. Plus, you will explore how to configure a Log Analytics workspace, and recover deleted security objects and the AD DS database.
Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the AZ-801: Configuring Windows Server Hybrid Advanced Services certification exam. To gain Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification, you should also take the AZ-800: Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure exam. Entry for the exam is not included.
