AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions is a four-day, advanced-level course that prepares you for the role of a DevOps Engineer. It will build your understanding of how to design and implement strategies for collaboration, code, infrastructure, source control, security, compliance, continuous integration, testing, delivery, monitoring, and feedback. To take this course, you should either be an Azure administrator (AZ-104) or an Azure developer (AZ-204).

During this course, you will learn how to perform agile planning and portfolio management with Azure Boards. You will build your knowledge of version control with Git in Azure Repos. You will discover how to install, configure, and enable continuous integration (CI) with Azure pipelines and GitHub actions. You will learn how to deploy Docker containers to Azure App service web apps. You will explore continuous delivery (CD), creating a release dashboard, controlling deployments using Release Gates, and implementing A/B testing and progressive exposure deployment. You will learn how to implement release jobs, perform provisioning and configuring of target environment, and how to setup test infrastructure. Plus, you will create Azure resources using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Azure Command Line Interface (CLI).

Additionally, you will develop skills for implementing DevSecOps through identifying SQL injection attacks. You will look at working with Static/Dynamic Analyzers, OWASP, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud. You will learn to identify dependencies and artifact repositories, and how to design/implement a dependency management strategy. Plus, you will build skills in using Kusto Query Language (KQL) and configuring App Center Diagnostics, alerts, and Azure Dashboards.

Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions exam to gain Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert certification. Entry for this exam is not included. However, you will get a clear overview of the Microsoft certification process, plus you will get the tips and tricks, testing strategies, practice questions and useful information to help you pass the exam successfully.

This course comprises 9 purposely designed modules that take you on a carefully defined learning journey.

It is an instructor-led course which runs to a fixed schedule, with set start and finish dates. It is driven forward by your instructor and features live sessions that are aired at a set time.
