AZ-204: Developing solutions for Microsoft Azure is a five-day intermediate-level course for students, developers, and cloud professionals looking to design, build, test, and maintain cloud applications and services on Microsoft Azure.
You will learn how to build a web application on the Azure App Service platform and implement Azure functions. You will build knowledge of how to develop solutions using blob storage and Cosmos exDB storage. You will explore implementing IaaS solutions, user authentication and authorization, secure cloud solutions, and API Management. You will learn how to develop Azure Logic Apps and build applications with event-based and message-based architectures. And you will explore how to instrument their code for telemetry, and then to analyse, troubleshoot and use different caching services to improve the performance of apps.
Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the AZ-204: Developing solutions for Microsoft Azure certification exam. Entry for the exam is not included. However, you will get a clear overview of the Microsoft certification process, plus you will get tips and tricks, testing strategies, practice questions, and useful information to help you pass the exam successfully.
This course comprises 31 purposely designed modules that take you on a carefully defined learning journey.

Starting June 2021, role-based and specialty certificates will expire after one year not two. Your Azure Developer Associate certification, earned before June 2021 will stay valid for two years from the date earned and are eligible for the new renewal process.
Microsoft does retire certifications from time, however, and you may also find exam numbers evolve when Microsoft changes the curriculum substantially for the certification.
The renewal window begins six months before your AZ-204 certification expires. During this pre-expiry window, you can take a free online assessment at Microsoft Learn and get the certificate extended by one additional year from the current expiration date.
