FAQs

Microsoft Teams is a chat-based collaboration tool that includes document sharing, online meetings, and a collection of other business-friendly capabilities. Being able to make creative decisions and interact with one another requires a great team space. This is considerably easier to achieve using shared workspace software, especially if a team is based in a very large organization, has many remote employees, or is made up of a significant number of team members.

Microsoft Teams has many characteristics that set it apart from competing collaboration software. These include:

  • Teams and channels
  • Conversations within channels and teams
  • A chat function
  • Document storage in SharePoint
  • Online video calling and screen sharing
  • Online meetings
  • Audio conferencing
  • Full telephony

Microsoft Teams administrators design, deploy, configure, and administer Microsoft Teams in a Microsoft 365 environment. They plan, deploy, and manage Teams chat, applications, channels, meetings, audio/video conferencing, live events, calling, and Teams-certified devices. A Microsoft Teams administrator also integrates Teams with SharePoint, OneDrive, and other Microsoft, third-party, and custom apps.
