MB-260: Microsoft Customer Data Platform Specialty is a four-day, intermediate level course that prepares you for the role of a customer data platform specialist. In this role, you would implement solutions that provide insights into customer profiles, and track engagement activities to help improve customer experiences and enhance customer retention. To get the most out of this course, you should be familiar with Dynamics 365 Customer Insights and have experience with one or more Dynamics 365 apps; Power Query, Microsoft Dataverse, Common Data Model, and Microsoft Power Platform.

During this course, you will build your understanding of the business value of a customer data platform and the user interface of Dynamics 365 Customer Insights. You will explore how to administer environments and users in the app, and connect to Microsoft Dataverse and Common Data Model sources. You will develop skills for performing data transformation and importing data using Power Query. You will investigate how to map, match, and merge data to create a unified customer profile, and then conduct search/filter indexes to find them from the database. You will learn how to establish relationships, define measures, and create/manage the segments. You will look at subscription churn, define predictions, and use machine learning models. Plus, you will learn to use Customer Insights with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Overall, this course will prepare you for taking the MB-260: Microsoft Customer Data Platform Specialist exam. You can also gain Microsoft Certified: Customer Data Platform Specialty certification by taking this exam. Entry for these exam is not included. However, you will get a clear overview of the Microsoft certification process, plus you will get the tips and tricks, testing strategies, practice questions and useful information to help you pass the exam successfully.

This course comprises 6 purposely designed modules that take you on a carefully defined learning journey.

It is an instructor-led course which runs to a fixed schedule, with set start and finish dates. It is driven forward by your instructor and features live sessions that are aired at a set time. You will, however, have time to complete certain activities at your own pace outside of the live sessions.

The materials for each module are accessible from the start of the course and will remain available for the duration of your enrollment. Methods of learning and assessment will include reading material, hands-on labs, and online exam questions.
