Mamta Sahai is an experienced social worker, trainer, thought leader and influencer in India’s POSH space. For 20 years she has championed issues related to women and children and is a current member of several organizational ICC Committees in both the private and public sectors, under the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment of women at work place) act.
In 2000 Mamta founded her own NGO, Savera Social Welfare Society, which actively works for the empowerment of women and children. She is part of NANAK (Network and Alliance for Non-profit and Knowledge), as well as Kayakalp, a social entrepreneurship venture.
A post-graduate in Human Rights, Mamta has been instrumental in contributing to several studies on the aspects of women and children. There are multiple reports of the Delhi Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, which were conducted under her supervision and monitoring, such as the implementation of the RTE act 2009 in Delhi, a report on Juveniles in conflict with law, status of adolescent girls in the slums of Delhi, and status of children's committees in the child care institutions in Delhi.
