If the provider disagrees with the amount reimbursed or denial of payment for services provided, either the provider or health plan may\u00a0initiate\u00a0the Open Negotiation Period. This is a\u00a030-business\u00a0day period for both sides to\u00a0attempt\u00a0to\u00a0reach an agreement\u00a0on a payment amount\u00a0for the services provided.\u00a0Notice of the Open Negotiation Period must be sent by the initiating party to the non-initiating party within 30 business days of the\u00a0initial\u00a0denial or payment of the claim.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Initiation of IDRProcess(within 4 days of negotiation ending)\u00a0<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">If\u00a0the payment\u00a0negotiations fail, either party may\u00a0initiate\u00a0the\u00a0IDR\u00a0process, within 4 days of the end of the Open Negotiation Period.
